Pinwheels
16 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces sour cream
8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
4 ounces sliced black olives
4 green onions, chopped
8 ounces shaved ham or turkey
1/8 teaspoon season salt
flour tortillas
Mix all ingredients except tortillas.  Spread mixture over each tortilla and tightly roll jelly roll style.  Slice rolls in 1/2" thick wheels.  Chill until ready to serve.

Egg Rolls
1 medium head cabbage
2 medium onions
4 large carrots
3/4 pound chicken breast in 1/2" slices
3/4 pound sirloin steak in 1/2" slices
2 packages egg roll wrappers
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 green peppers
1 tablespoon oil
3 cups oil for deep frying
Shred carrots; chop cabbages, onion and bell peppers.  Place in large pot with enough water to cover vegetables; bring to a boil  Cook about 15 minutes.  Drain all water off.  Stir-fry meat in tablespoon of oil.  When done, add soy sauce; cook 5 minutes.  Add to vegetables and stir well.  Place mixture by spoonfuls on egg roll wrappers.  Fold according to package directions.  Deep fry until golden brown.

 

Three Onion Spread
2 tablespoons oil
1 cup chopped sweet onion
1 cup chopped red onion
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
8 ounces soft cream cheese with chives and onion
assorted crackers
hallowed red onion
Heat oil in a 10" skillet over medium heat.  Cook onions in oil about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.  Stir in parsley and cream cheese until smooth.  Spoon into a hallowed out onion.  Serve warm or cold with crackers.  Refrigerate leftovers.

 

Lemonade Syrup Base
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
2 cups bottled lemon juice

In medium saucepan, combine sugar and water.  Over low heat, cook until sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.  Add lemon juice.  Cool.  Store, covered, in refrigerator.  Makes about 2/3 cups. 
For 8 ounce serving:  Pour 1/3 cup lemonade syrup into glass; add 2/3 cup cold water.  Stir and add ice.
For 1 quart: In pitcher, combine 1 1/3 cups syrup and 2 2/3 cups cold water; stir.  Add ice.

 

Honey Berry Milk Shakes
1 pint vanilla ice cream
2 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup honey
In a blender, combine ice cream, berries, milk and honey.  Cover and process until smooth.  Serve immediately.

Frothy Orange Drink
1-6 ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup water
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 to 10 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender; cover and process until drink is thick and slushy.

Mock Champagne
4 cups water
4 cups sugar
4 cups white grape or pineapple juice
2 cups orange juice
8 pints chilled ginger ale
Boil sugar and water for 3 minutes and cool.  Add juices and chill.  Just before serving, add ginger ale, chilled.  Makes 50 servings.
